Testimonials about New Country Day Camp
“Jenni does an amazing job at pulling a huge program together and making sure it runs smoothly. The level of communication and attention she gives each family exceeds that of any other program we've seen in the city.”
"Everyone we dealt with was knowledgeable and professional when speaking with us (adult to adult) and was friendly and helpful when speaking with our son (adult to camper)."
"The bus counselors on the Wonder Wheel bus were very kind and engaging. My son really liked his group counselors Tanbir and Ornella. Once it was brought to their attention that he was having a rough time, I think they made an effort to integrate him into the group, because he seemed a lot happier. He mentioned a swim counselor named Jonathan whom he liked a lot, and there someone named Justice who must have been hilarious, because my son kept talking about him and giggling."
"The counselors are wonderful - very loving and fun. They always greet the kids with smiles and enthusiasm. The swim program is very strong and a big draw for us. The bus commute is painless and pleasant. The Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds are quiet and peaceful and give that greats sense of being out of the city for a day."
"The program itself is very impressive, and my son really enjoyed certain aspects--martial arts, the science programming, etc. He was apprehensive about the swimming, but learned some new skills and developed some confidence as a swimmer--a big achievement, in my book!"
"Lili is exceptional, I love that she was a former camper and now is one of the camps leaders. She and I chatted one day about that and I could see how much she loves the camp and how dear it and her campers are to her. Patrick our bus driver is wonderful. The rest of the staff (Josh, Falynn, even Anthony in billing) was thoroughly responsive to all my kids needs and strove to help in every way to make their experience at camp fantastic."
"My son loved it, especially swimming and gaga. He loved the focus on sports, and wished there would have been more sports time for the 1st graders. At the same time, I was glad he had exposure to other activities (though if I asked my kid, he'd say more gaga, I'm sure!)."
"My daughter went up two levels during the summer, which made her INCREDIBLY proud, and us too, of course. The colored-cap system, while sensible for safety, is also a huge competitive motivator, I think!"
"The swimming improvement at camp is just astounding to me. It's definitely the best aspect of NCDC and what will keep us coming back."
