Youth Programs

They’re only young once.

And our youth programming makes every minute meaningful, even when you’re not with them.

Fun, sport, enrichment – your city kids have access to it all, year-round, right here at your East Village community center. So rest easy. We’ve got you covered after school and all summer long.

Youth sports classes and leagues run six days a week at the 14th Street Y, keeping kids aged three to 14 active with basketball, flag football, soccer, tennis, gymnastics, ballet and more, all in a no-pressure setting. Teens and tweens can dive into aquatics, lace up for basketball, and even prepare for New York City’s specialized high school admission test with Applerouth instruction. Afternoons are bursting with possibilities, from journalism to karate and beyond, in our after school program (K through 5th grade), and transportation is available from our partner schools to the 14th Street Y. Holiday camps run on school days off and half days, providing a safe, social and supportive space for play and learning (K through 6th grade). For kids with special needs, our dedicated programming includes swim instruction and an exciting weekend schedule featuring soccer, swim, music, movement and art.

For unforgettable summertime fun, check out our roster of summer camps, where kids of all ages explore new interests, grow their confidence and make friends for life. From toddler programs to teen theater camp, the 14th Street Y’s summer programs have something wonderful in store for your child.
