14Y Youth Class Details
Super Soccer Stars
Kindergarten – 2nd Grade: Mondays | 4:00 – 4:45 PM
3rd Grade – 5th Grade: Monday | 4:50 – 5:35 PM
Get the ball rolling! Join Super Soccer Stars, NYC’s most popular soccer development program, right here at the 14Y.
Dynamic international coaches work with every student to develop skills, self-confidence, and teamwork in a fun, non-competitive environment. Positive reinforcement and low child-to-coach ratios ensure that each child will improve their soccer skills through engaging warm-ups, activities, and games—all while having endless fun!
The goal of the program at this stage is to improve children’s elementary capacity through fun games, technical skill development and group activities. Emphasis is placed on awareness of teammates constantly so that these skills can be easily transferred into the soccer game.
Every K-2 Soccer Stars class includes ball activities with high repetitions to promote muscle memory that builds confidence and ball control skills.
For players in grades 3-5, we’ll focus on improving their creative capacity through technical skill development and competition.
Tennis
Kindergarten – 2nd Grade: Wednesdays | 4:00 – 4:45 PM
3rd Grade – 5th Grade: Wednesdays | 4:50 – 5:35 PM
TGA Premier Sports coaches lead students through station-based drills and games that develop the fundamental skills of grip, forehand, backhand, volley, and serve. Tennis is an individualistic sport so each player progresses through our five-level program at their own pace.
Ballet
Kindergarten – 2nd Grade: Thursdays | 4:00 – 4:45 PM
3rd Grade – 5th Grade: Thursdays | 4:50 – 5:35 PM
Welcome to ballet with Shoshanna! Creative movement encourages self-expression. Beginners enjoy stretching, leaping, and improvisational movement while combining dance and theatre techniques. Intermediate dancers develop basic foot, arm, and body placement, and posture. Students work at the bar for balance and development of strength, discipline, and flexibility.

CP1: Ages 5-7

September 12 – December 19 | Tuesdays | 4:00 – 4:45 PM
Chickenshed Players 1 (CP1 ages 5-7) gives children the opportunity to explore all aspects of theatre making through playful games and activities that include singing, dancing, puppetry and interactive storytelling. At the end of the semester Players will only perform a ‘Sharing of Our Work’ to their grown-ups.
CP 2: Ages 7-10
September 9 – December 9 | Saturdays | 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
September 12 – December 19 | Tuesday | 4:50 PM – 6:00 PM
This semester Players rehearse in ‘Jack‘, a new musical to be performed in December.
First performed in the UK to sold out audiences this show tells the story of Jack, a poor disheartened character who, living in a tiny house in a run-down seaside town with his exasperated mother and bothersome sibling, takes refuge by playing arcade games. One day, instead of just playing the video game, Jack becomes part of it, suddenly lost within a magical world where some giant challenges must be faced. Helped by some unusual characters Jack must overcome these trials to complete the levels of The Beanstalk.
Our no-audition policy ensures that every participant can be part of the show without the pressure of an audition process.
In addition, guest scientists and artists workshop with the Players on AI related themes inspiring the children to add their creativity and ideas as part of the rehearsal process.
CP 3: Ages 10-13
