Make the Best Challah Ever or Feel Great Failing To
Friday, May 22 | 2:00 PM | 14th Street Y Facebook Live Event

Join Meredith Fein Lichtenberg, Interim Family Programs Director, and her mother, Ronnie Fein, on Facebook Live to learn how to make challah–the fluffy, gorgeous bread that Meredith misses during quarantine.

Ronnie, author of Hip Kosher and The Modern Kosher Kitchen, has made thousands of beautiful challot for decades and suspects that she is invited to Jewish holiday celebrations just so she’ll bring challah. Meredith, conversely, has killed yeast, forgotten ingredients and otherwise utterly failed to learn the art of challah ‘til now.

Bring ingredients (detailed in the link below) or just sip a glass of wine and enjoy!

How to Live Well with Kids Now
Tuesday, May 26 | 8:30 – 9:30 PM | Zoom

You started out with a big grocery order and a few new puzzles, but two months later, you’re still home with your kids and nothing is back to normal. We know it’s been hard, it’s not the way you meant for this year to go, and that you have many questions. Join us for a vibrant Q&A discussion with Dr. Czer Anthoney Lim, a pediatrician and emergency medicine physician, of Mount Sinai – Beth Israel; therapist Nancy Weinrib, LCSW; and the 14Y’s Interim Family Programs Director, Meredith Fein Lichtenberg. We’ll discuss:

  • Safety for outings and playtime
  • Boredom, boundaries and regression
  • Dealing with disappointments and uncertainty
  • And lots more!

To RSVP: Email FamilyPrograms@14streety.org for a Zoom link to attend.
