Information about COVID-19
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC): For information about COVID-19, precautions to prevent the spread, and what to do if you feel sick.
New York State Department of Health: For information on statewide mandates for workers, school closures, and health systems, as well as state resources for those impacted by COVID-19.
NYC Department of Health: For information about COVID-19, symptoms, prevention and the City’s response.
NYC COVID-19 Text Updates: Text “COVID” (“COVIDESP” en español) to 692-692 for regular COVID-19 updates from Notify NYC. Your standard texting rates may apply.
NYC Department Resources
NYC Department of Education: For up to date information about how New York City schools are adapting to COVID-19, as well as the grab-and-go lunch program.
NYC Department of Small Business Services: Financial assistance and city programs for small businesses and job seekers impacted by COVID-19.
NYC Department for the Aging: Information for seniors and those who want to volunteer to help seniors. Seniors can also call 212-244-6469 for more information.
Mayor’s Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence: While NYC’s Family Justice Centers are temporarily closed, services remain available by phone, such as immediate safety planning, shelter assistance and other resources.
Food Assistance
NYC Department of Education Meal Locator: To find free grab-and-go meal location near you.
Food Banks: City food banks and pantries are currently operating on part-time schedules. Please call ahead or visit the websites below for hours and more information.
Met Council Kosher Food Network
Family Meal for All: Restaurants offering free family meals for displaced restaurant industry workers. Also includes information on local food pantries in all five boroughs and New Jersey.
Food Wholesalers: A guide to restaurant wholesalers who are now selling groceries to the public. Available for delivery.
Housing and Utilities
NYC Housing Courts: For information on housing rights during this crisis. All housing court cases are currently suspended. Landlords cannot take adverse action against tenants.
New York State Department of Financial Services: For information on mortgage relief for homeowners impacted by COVID-19.
Con Edison: For gas and electric service updates and safety information for customers in New York State.
FCC Keep Americans Connected: For information on phone and internet providers continuing services during COVID-19.
NYC Department of Homeless Services: For information on homelessness prevention, options for short-term housing, and connections to sustainable housing.
Domestic Violence Shelters and Support: For immediate help and more information on what services are currently available, please visit the websites or call the numbers below.
Safe Horizon: For information on services, hotline and helpline operations during COVID-19.

New York State Department of Labor: For information and guidance on expanded unemployment assistance for workers whose jobs have been impacted by COVID-19.
New York State Paid Family Leave: For information on expanded paid family leave and paid sick leave for COVID-19 patients and their caregivers.
Internal Revenue Service (IRS): For information on tax relief, economic impact payments, and updated tax filing deadlines.

NYCWell: For digital mental health resources as well as text, chat, and phone helplines.

WEconnect: Online meetings for people who are in addiction recovery and cannot attend in-person NA or AA meetings.
Institute for Jewish Spirituality: A collection of Jewish mindfulness practices for challenging times. Live and self-guided options available.
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: Free and confidential support for people in crisis, and prevention resources.

Volunteer Opportunities
Whether it is in person or virtual, there are many opportunities from our partners and other reputable groups to provide assistance to members of your community affected by COVID-19.
UJA Federation: Virtual volunteer opportunities from UJA Federation’s network of partners, including the Educational Alliance, to help reduce social isolation for high-risk and quarantined individuals.
Manny Cantor Center: Virtual volunteer opportunities to help MCC’s community members access much-needed resources and information.
