From Sunday, August 24 through Monday, September 1, the 14Y pool will be closed for deep cleaning and the basketball gymnasium will be closed for refinishing the floor. The pool and basketball gymnasium will reopen on Tuesday, September 2. On Monday, August 25 and Tuesday, August 26, the women’s and men’s locker rooms will be closed for deep cleaning. We appreciate your patience as we make annual improvements to our facilities.

José Pena is a proud Venezuelan who has carved an impressive professional journey. He graduated as a mechanical engineer and dedicated 14 years of his career to the oil and gas industry. His expertise lies in project management and the design of petroleum facilities, showcasing his ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions. Almost two years ago, José embarked on a new chapter of his life when he moved to the United States. He began working as a building superintendent at the Manny Cantor Center, a role that he enjoyed deeply. This job allowed him to connect with others and apply his methodical approach in a different setting. José’s adaptability and dedication shine through in everything he does. When he’s not immersed in work or solving technical puzzles, José enjoys reading and following soccer—his favorite sport. His love for the game reflects his passion for strategy and teamwork, traits that have undoubtedly influenced both his personal and professional life.
