Events in Jewish Life

The 14th Street Y is member of Downtown Jewish Life, a network of organizations who partner together to engage with and provide Downtown Manhattan with experiences that foster an inclusive Jewish community. Below are events and experiences that offer a variety of opportunity for individuals and families to connect with one another in ways that are personally meaningful.

PAUSE/PLAY

Ready to rethink how you spend those chilly winter weekends?

PAUSE/PLAY invites you to hit the pause button in your busy lives and experience all that our Downtown Community has to offer. We welcome everyone in our community, Jewish or not, to join us for a day of relaxation and renewal. From family yoga and storytime to whiskey tastings and open swim, these events feature activities for the whole family.

This year, we are pleased to partner with the In[heir]itance Project! They will be engaging our community with art projects and workshops in preparation for a festival of plays, inspired by the book of Genesis, coming to our theater this May.

PAUSE/PLAY is open to all ages in our diverse downtown community.

Free for 14th Street Y members. Reservations are recommended. RSVP HERE!

PAUSE/PLAY is generously funded by the UJA Federation of New York, the Covenant Foundation, and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.
