Due to on-going plumbing maintenance, the 14Y pool is closed and the showers in the women’s locker room are unavailable through Monday, April 3. The women’s locker room and sauna are still available for use in the meantime. The 14Y pool and women’s showers will reopen on Tuesday, April 4. We apologize for the inconvenience. Join us for a special Zoom event with pediatric dentist Dr. Fatina Shtivelman and the 14Y’s Director of Family Programs, Meredith Lichtenberg. You’ll learn all about best practices for oral health for babies, toddlers, and young children, including:

  • When to start brushing
  • Dentist trip safety during COVID-19
  • Managing fears, resistance, and power struggles
  • Foods and your child’s teeth
  • Pacifiers, thumb sucking and other behaviors
  • and so much more.

Speaker: Dr. Fatina is an renowned board certified pediatric dentist, who has a private practice, Gramercy Kids Smiles located in New York City, and the author of “A Book About Teeth,” which teaches children about oral hygiene.

Dr. Fatina received her dental degree from SUNY Buffalo and completed her pediatric dental training and special needs fellowship at Stony Brook University Hospital. Her research focused on the special needs population to help gain better access to dental care. Dr. Fatina has been chosen as a Favorite Kids’ Docs and enjoys working with mothers to educate them on the importance of incorporating oral care routine for their little ones.
