we are family
We believe play is a child’s work. Every class, activity, and experience we design for children offers a fun and meaningful learning opportunity. From baby and me classes and parenting classes support to after school and youth sports, our commitment is to the well-being of the whole family.
Virtual Early Childhood Programs
More than just your downtown fitness connection!
We are a vibrant community center grounded in the belief that contemporary Jewish sensibilities can be a source of inspiration, connection, and learning for the individuals and families we serve throughout downtown Manhattan. We focus on health and fitness, education and enrichment programs, and innovative arts and cultural programming.
We are committed to the development of the whole person and bettering people’s lives and strengthening individual and family connections by building an inclusive and sustainable community.
The 14th Street Y is part of Educational Alliance, which brings together and partners with diverse communities in Lower Manhattan, offering individuals and families high-quality, multi-generational programs and services that enhance their well-being and socioeconomic opportunities.
Although the 14th Street Y’s building is closed and our in-person programs are on pause until further notice, we look forward to welcoming you back to our building when it is safe to do so. We are currently developing a reopening plan informed by guidance from state and city government officials and cannot wait to see you again at 344 East 14th Street at First Ave.
In the meantime, we hope you’ll explore the Virtual 14Y, which offers many virtual programs including live-streaming fitness classes and Family Programs.
