Dementia Friends NY (DFNY) Informational Session
Informational Session with DFNY Master Trainer Dona Giannotti

Hybrid Event: Virtual via Zoom link or join us in person at Sirovich Center in the 1st Floor Conference Room
Through activities and discussion, this workshop will increase your understanding of dementia and share about the small things that you can do to make a difference for people affected by dementia in your community. Learn five key messages everyone should know about dementia through activities and discussion. Attendees will get the opportunity to register as a Dementia Friend at the end of the session. A DFNY Handbook will be emailed to all attendees upon registration.
About the trainer: Dona Giannotti is the Community Relations Manager at PSS. She is responsible for all external relations and outreach for PSS Circle of Care and spearheads the Dementia Friends New York Initiative. She comes from the field of Higher Education. She spent several years as a Program Advisor at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where she specialized in Adult Education and advised adult students enrolled in professional certificate programs at Emory. Dona has also worked as an education manager and program manager for CUNY.
