Shane Buddo-Larrier

Program Manager, Early Preschool Program

Hello there! I’m Shane Larrier and I’m thrilled to be a part of the 14th Street Y, this time as the Program Manager for the Early Preschool Program. Over the past several years, I’ve had the privilege of working at different departments at 14th Street Y, and it’s a place that holds a special spot in my heart. Many staff, families, and members may recognize me – as I’ve worn many hats at the 14th Street Y (but mainly just my favorite grey one).

I’m a human of many interests and passions (read as: “self-described amateur polymath”). You could describe me as a fast-talking, faster-walking, joke-telling, DnD-playing, bicycle-riding, and movie-loving nerd. In terms of style, I dress to impress the 13-year-old Shane, and I have rarely disappointed him. My enthusiasm for life is matched only by my genuine love for the people around me. Beyond my role at the 14Y, I’m also a dedicated writer, constantly seeking unique experiences to infuse into my storytelling. During the weekends you may spot me in random places in Brooklyn, with a roaming vintage clothing rack – don’t be a stranger and feel free to come say hi!
My next stop in Brooklyn will be Bushwick, and I’m excited to explore my vibrant new neighborhood.  If you’re wondering about my favorites, here they are:

Favorite Movie: Without a doubt, it’s “The Fifth Element.”
Favorite Color: I’d have to go with grey.
Favorite Animal: Snapping Shrimp.

I’m an open book, and I’m always up for a chat. If you want to know more about me, shoot silly one-liners, or just have a friendly chat, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s connect and make some great memories together!
