Dungeons & Dragons Club for Kids & Teens
September 29 – December8
Mondays, 6:00-8:00 PM
Explore games such as Dungeons & Dragons with a seasoned game master. Materials provided and no experience needed. For ages 10-15.
Youth & Teen Community Art Classes in NYC
Our Youth and Teen Art courses indulge the creative curiosities of young artists. We invite students to delve into the decorative and functional aspects of creative practice inside a supportive group environment.
Offerings include:
- Youth Pottery (Ages 8-13) focuses on handbuilding with clay
- Teen Ceramics (Ages 14-18) allows students to develop their skills further in handbuilding while also introducing participants to the Potter’s Wheel
- Youth Drawing (Ages 9-14) develops and strengthens the drawing ability of young students of all skill levels
- Comics and Cartoons (Ages 8-13) gives students the time and resources to tell their own stories through sequential imagery
- Teen Drawing (Ages 14-18) learn drawing from direct observation with an emphasis on free-hand perspective, and other basic techniques
- Youth Painting (Ages 8 – 13) introduces students to the foundational painting techniques with acrylics
Chickenshed NYC
Chickenshed NYC is an inclusive, not-for-profit children’s and youth theatre company that empowers and uplifts young people through the transformative power of performance.
Chickenshed NYC inclusive methodology includes an element of science in the belief that art and science are not only compatible fields but can and do enhance each other.
Our core offerings at the 14Y include:
- Adventures from The Shed – Interactive musical and puppetry performances for preschoolers and their grownups, where every child gets their own prop backpack and joins an unforgettable themed adventure.
- My Little Adventure (MLA) – A joyful program of storytelling, singing, and movement for young children, where each session unfolds as its own unique, immersive journey.
- Players – A no-audition theatre program for children and teens, guided by professional artists. Participants build confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills as they create and perform two productions each year — one scripted and one devised.
