Alexis Offen

Executive Director

Alexis Offen was named Executive Director of the 14th Street Y and Sirovich Center for Balanced Living in October 2023. Alexis’ career has focused on strengthening community and cultural life throughout New York City, and in particular, downtown.

Most recently, she served as Greenwich House’s first ever Chief Operations and Strategy Officer, and previously as COO at the Trust for Governors Island.  Alexis also worked in City Hall during the Bloomberg administration as a Senior Policy Advisor and Counsel, and at New York University as the Community Relations Liaison.

Alexis is an active member, volunteer and leader in the City’s Jewish community, and has worked closely with UJA-Federation of New York on community building initiatives.

Alexis graduated with honors from Harvard College, where she studied urban politics, and holds a law degree from Fordham. She serves on the Riverside Park Conservancy Board of Trustees, and lives on the Upper West Side with her family.
