Alexis Offen
Executive Director
Alexis Offen was named Executive Director of the 14th Street Y and Sirovich Center for Balanced Living in October 2023. Alexis’ career has focused on strengthening community and cultural life throughout New York City, and in particular, downtown.
Previously, she served as Greenwich House’s first ever Chief Operations and Strategy Officer and, prior to that, as COO at the Trust for Governors Island. Alexis also worked in City Hall during the Bloomberg administration as a Senior Policy Advisor and Counsel, and at New York University as the Community Relations Liaison. She is a current Wexner Field Fellow and an alumna of the Coro New York Leadership Fellowship.
Alexis is an active member, volunteer, and leader in the City’s Jewish community, and has worked closely with UJA-Federation of New York on community building initiatives.
Alexis graduated with honors from Harvard College, where she studied urban politics, and holds a law degree from Fordham.
