From Sunday, August 24 through Monday, September 1, the 14Y pool will be closed for deep cleaning and the basketball gymnasium will be closed for refinishing the floor. The pool and basketball gymnasium will reopen on Tuesday, September 2. On Monday, August 25 and Tuesday, August 26, the women’s and men’s locker rooms will be closed for deep cleaning. We appreciate your patience as we make annual improvements to our facilities.

 

On Thursday, August 28, Barre class with Corey from 5:30 – 6:15 PM will be cancelled. Thank you for your understanding.

Join us for a special Zoom event with sleep expert Dr. Sofia Axelrod and the 14Y’s Director of Family Programs, Meredith Lichtenberg. You’ll learn all about the science behind baby sleep, and how to use it to help your newborn, infant, toddler, and pre-schooler with the following issues:

  • Is sleep training safe?
  • How do I get my baby to sleep through the night?
  • How do I get my child to sleep in longer in the morning?
  • Naps and schedules
  • Bedtime struggles
  • and so much more.

Speaker:
Dr. Sofia Axelrod is a Research Associate at Rockefeller University working on the fundamentals of sleep in a Nobel Prize-winning laboratory, author of HOW BABIES SLEEP, as well as creator of the Kulala baby sleep app.

Dr. Axelrod studied at the Humboldt University Berlin and completed her PhD in biology at The Rockefeller University, New York. When becoming a mother, Axelrod’s research expertise inspired her to apply insider knowledge from science to her own children, which led to the development of her unique baby sleep method and her desire to share her easy approach with the world. Axelrod’s book, app, and workshops aim at educating sleep-deprived parents about the power of sleep science and how to implement her simple sleep method at home.
