Join us to learn windowsill gardening tips and tricks!

If you’re a garden enthusiast but don’t have the space, windowsill gardens may be the perfect project for you. Windowsill gardens allow you to control some of your food supply and what goes into your plants. Some easy to grow, space saving, low maintenance options include lettuce, herbs, and succulents.

Workshop participants will have the opportunity to select two crops to start their windowsill garden.

A cash bar featuring beer, wine and soft drinks will be available. Guests must show proof of age to purchase alcohol. 

About Mya Jenkins 
Mya Jenkins has studied environmental science and uses her knowledge to teach environmental education to youth groups in various locations across NYC for more than 13 years. As a mother of three, Mya strives to consistently engage and enrich youth and families with her high energy, passion, and hands-on programs.

About 14Y After Dark

The 14Y might be known for its fitness center and preschool, but we in Arts + Culture are thinking about fun for the grown-ups. That’s why we created 14Y After Dark, a series of events happening the third Tuesday of every month that will feature exciting programming and activities just for adults.

These free events may include crafting or games, music, mingling, visual art, drinks (Cash Bar) and more. Enjoy our beautiful rooftop (weather permitting) for an easy, fun, and very New York night out with friends and community.
