14Y is a place your family can call home. The early childhood team is here to support you as a parent. Whether it’s taking a yoga class for new and expecting parents, chatting with our parenting experts, or participating in an early childhood class with your child.

Ongoing Parent Support Classes
New Parent and Prenatal Yoga
For One Adult + Baby (Once you are cleared to work out by your Doctor)

Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga with Kiyoe. Recharge and center yourself. Bring your baby 0-12 months. This is a time to focus on you with our little ones as partners! You’ll meet other families and watch your little ones connect as we focus on balance, awareness, and wellness.
Kiyoe has completed her 200-hour Registered Yoga Training with Erica Stanzione and took additional training in Prenatal, Postnatal and Baby yoga. Kiyoe in addition has worked as a registered nurse in Japan as well as a maternal, child, and reproductive health specialist in developing countries. Supporting pregnant people and their families go through the stages of pregnancy, from birth through to the postpartum period, is her passion. Kiyoe loves teaching yoga and also has training in doula, lactation, childbirth education, and babywearing.

Have a baby in your life? Whether a first-time parent or a new parent to more than one, please join us at the 14Y for support, community, and resource sharing. This is a time to celebrate and vent! Talk about all the feelings, questions, and choices that come when a baby enters your life. Adults chat while babies play in a safe, nurturing environment. Run by early childhood expert and 14Y staff member, Nancy Weinrib, LMSW. “Being a part of Nancy’s groups has informed and inspired how I parent.” 14Y Parent.
Baby and Me Pilates

Move, stretch, and strengthen in a welcoming space made for you and your baby. This class helps you gain core strength, ease postpartum aches, and boost energy, all while engaging with your baby in a fun and nurturing environment. It’s also a great way to connect with other new parents, share experiences, and build your village one Pilates session at a time.
Expectant Parent Support Group

Come learn the ins and outs of caring for your new baby and find community with other expectant parents. Topics covered may include helpful parenting skills, discussing plans for the first few days at home and adjusting to life with a newborn.
14Y Expecting and New Parent Classes
Baby Be Safe Infant and Child First Aid and CPR
Sunday, October 19th | 10:00- 12:00
Baby Be Safe teaches CPR for all ages, choking response, AED use, baby-proofing tips, when to call 911, and how to build a first aid kit. Includes optional hands-on manikin practice.
All of our instructors are AHA certified.
Expectant Parent Workshop
Sunday, October 26th | 9:30 – 12:30 PM
Rachel’s experience as a Registered Nurse at NYU Langone Health in Labor & Delivery inspired her to pursue a career and certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Rachel’s philosophy is that childbirth is normal, natural, and healthy. Breastfeeding Support for New Moms
