The 14Y Youth Programs staff is excited to bring our enriching activities to you to help students stay engaged while learning at home! Check back often as we continue to add live-streamed classes, videos, easy at-home activities, and more!
Virtual Youth Classes
Youth Classes need a minimum of 4 participants to run. For more information or to set up a class time for your own group, please email AfterSchool@14StreetY.org.

While our in-person programs are on hold, the KOL Program staff is finding new ways to live our values of community, inclusion, and socialization. Please see below for upcoming inclusion events and updates.

14Y Partner Private Lessons and Tutoring
with Anselmo Academy of Music & The Arts
Private Music Lessons
Beginning week of September 7, 2020
Fall semester: 9 or 18 lesson packages available
Anselmo Academy of Music and Arts will be offering online private lessons for Piano, Voice, Musical Theatre, Violin, Guitar, and more to all students. Sign your child up for 9-lesson or 18-lesson packages this fall semester at a time that’s convenient for your family.
Please note that Private lessons can be held in person if parent and teacher are comfortable.
Cost: starting at $565 for 9 30-minute lessons and $1060 for 18 30-minute lessons. When you sign up, a portion of your tuition for private lessons will benefit the 14Y.

Private Theatre and Acting Lessons
Beginning week of September 7, 2020
Fall semester: 9 or 18 lesson packages available
Anselmo Academy of Music and Arts will be offering online private lessons for theatre and acting to all students. Drama classes offer students with fundamental stage learning in performance, sound, and improvisation techniques. Children of all ages will transform themselves on stage and sharpen acting skills with fun theater games, costume play and storytelling. Students will express their own original ideas and collaborate with others in
a fun and creative way.

Private Tutoring
Beginning week of September 7, 2020
Fall semester: 6 lesson packages available
The Anselmo Academy provides one-on-one tutoring for Grade K to 6, in person or online. Our subjects include Math, English Reading and Writing, Science, and general homework assignments. Students will receive academic assistance in their coursework and focus on their organizational skills.
Cost: Package of 6 Tutoring lessons $55 for 30-minute lessons, or $75 plus a fundraising fee for 45-minute lessons. When you sign up, a portion of your tuition for private lessons will benefit the 14Y.

WonderSpark Puppets
Founded in 2009 by husband and wife duo Z. Briggs and Chad Williams, WonderSpark Puppets performs for New York City audiences of all ages. Together with Jenny Hann, Christina Stone and Julia Darden, they perform over 400 shows per year and have toured internationally.
WonderSpark is proud to continue the tradition of non-moving-mouth hand puppets, aka “Mister Rogers style”. From theaters to libraries, NYC shops and school classrooms, WonderSpark’s flexibility allows them to perform in any space.

PJ Library
PJ Library sends free Jewish children’s books to families across the world every month. They know that something magical happens when parents sit down together to read with their children. PJ Library shares Jewish stories that can help your family talk together about values and traditions that are important to you.
A program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, PJ Library is made possible through partnerships with philanthropists and local Jewish organizations. Families with kids ages 6 months through 8 years old with Judaism as part of their lives, are welcome to sign up. PJ Library welcomes all Jewish families, whatever your background, knowledge, or family make-up, or observance may be.
