Justin Perkins

Program Director

Justin has worked at New Country Day Camp since 2013, and 2020 will mark his 7th summer at NCDC! In that time, he has been Unit Head for Science, Program Coordinator, Special Consultant for Program Initiatives, and now gets to exercise his passion for creating enriching experiences as NCDC’s Program Director. When he’s not at camp, Justin is a theater artist, and travels the world performing in puppet shows; you might have seen him this year in Detroit, Chicago, Anchorage, or right here at home in NYC. Justin runs a puppet and sculpture studio in Bushwick, and is also a curator at Object Movement Festival, a year-long program where puppet artists create new works and show them at the Center at West Park on the Upper West Side. Justin grew up in New Hampshire, has degrees in theater from Vassar and Sarah Lawrence, and now lives with his partner, Gabe, in beautiful Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.
