DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Fifth Session of The Lunch and Learn: LGBTQ in Israel\, A Story of Struggle and Achievements\nWith the race towards PRIDE month\, we will take a look together on the history\, achievements\, and struggles of the LGBTQ Community in Israel. In a country with strong religious dominance\, the LGBTQ community is coping with a complex reality. While Tel Aviv is hosting the largest PRIDE Parade in the Middle East and is a cultural center for the LGBTQ community\, there are still struggles for acceptance and civil rights. \nIn this session we will explore themes such as:  \n\nWhat were the achievements of the LGBTQ Community in getting recognition and rights?\nThe mixed views of religious Jewish streams in Israel towards the LGBTQ Community\nWhat are the main struggles of the Israeli LGBTQ community nowadays?\nThe LGBTQ community outside of Tel Aviv\n\nIsraeli food and drinks will be served! \nThis event is FREE and open to all. Please REGISTER as space is very limited. \nAbout the Lunch and Learn Series:\nEach month\, Ophir will be hosting an hour-long open-tent discussion exploring themes focused on Israel\, sharing stories\, and enjoying free snacks and drinks! \n
