DESCRIPTION:Prayer Language Art Making Workshop\nLed by Artist Mike McManus \nThe art-based spiritual technique of releasing prayers one has not mustered the words to express.    \nWednesday\, July 19 | 6:30 – 8:30 PM   \n14Y Member $15\, Non-member $25 \nRegistration closes Saturday\, July 15 \nJoin local artist Mike McManus as he leads a group in connecting with their spirituality and employing this connection as a conduit for drawing straight from the soul. \nThe vehicle will be chosen by participants; whether that be crayon\, chalk\, oil stick\, or pencil. The participants’ actions during this workshop will be a form of release—therapeutic markings drawn from unspeakable spaces. \nParticipants will learn to connect to their mark-making as they draw and scrawl on paper\, concerned with the action they’re taking rather than the aesthetic beauty of the finished art product.
