Testimonials about New Country Day Camp

“Love doing gymnastics there and the swimming pool is fun!”  - New Country Day Camp camper, age 9

“This is upstate camping just 35 minutes away.  NCDC is the perfect antidote to summer-in-the-city:  it's camp with forests and hills, hiking and campfires, lean-to’s and swimming pools in the sun.”  - New Country Day Camp Parent

“I like that they have hot dog day because that was the only time I ever roasted something over a campfire.  I want to come back to camp for at least 2 more summers.”  - New Country Day Camp camper, age 6

“I have gone to New Country for 3 summers.  My favorite parts of camp are playing ga-ga and swimming.  Camp is really fun.”   - New Country Day Camp camper, age 8

“I liked that the camp was in a wooded area where a variety of activities are available. My son likes swimming twice a day and playing gaga the most. In addition, there are sports, camping activities, martial arts and arts and crafts. There is an abundance of camp counselors with a range of ages and experience and all are well trained. There is a bus ride, but since the bus is the way the counselors get to the camp there is a good number on the bus.”    - New Country Day Camp Parent

“Camp is so much fun because you can do sports, art, karate and other things that are very interesting.  I want to come back to camp so much.  Swimming is really fun.”   - New Country Day Camp camper, age 7

“I liked my counselors.  They were the best!  My favorite parts of camp are kickball and the pool.  I also liked making s’mores.”  - New Country Day Camp camper, age 6

“I liked when we play sports and ga-ga, and I liked going to the pool.”  - New Country Day Camp camper, age 6

“We sent our 7 year old new country day last summer and had a really good experience. The camp is beautiful--wooded with ponds, fields, 2 pools--not the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of Staten Island. The staff was well organized, efficient, and fun. The bus ride from the slope is easy. a great alternative to the city camps.”  - New Country Day Camp Parent
